Bulwell Forest Garden Lunch Club Today 11.00-13.00 FREE!
Turnips may not be adored by chefs and foodies who desire something more, well exotic? I can’t imagine that we will see a hipster joint paying homage to the rooty veg any time soon. However we are not one for judging our humble veg and have looked eastwards for inspiration. Indian cookery positively celebrates neeps in all their glory so on the menu today we have a supremely tasty Turnip Curry and a Broccoli Sabzi with Rice followed by Sticky Chocolate Cake. It’s freshly cooked with produce from the garden and as a Brucie Bonus it’s vegan too. Lunch is served from 12.30, you are welcome to come and get stuck in earlier if you are feeling energetic today, we always need help with harvesting, chopping and gardening!
You can find Bulwell Forest Garden’s entrance next to 113 Austin Street.
(If you’re popping down please also be mindful of our lovely neighbours, If you can walk, skate or run down (build up an appetite). If you do need to bring the car, please try not to park across the driveways of the houses close to the garden. Thank you lovely ones)!
